Palos Verdes Art Center is pleased to announce the return of Chef Daniel Petry to the Art Center at the newly reorganized Shady Grove @ Stripe Café.

Chef Daniel was Executive Chef at the original Stripe Café concept, and worked at one of the best regarded farm-to-table restaurants in Long Beach, James Republic, by Chef Dean James Max previously. There, he learned the skills to cook with the seasons by finding the best ingredients from their source.

Chef Daniel was born and raised in Long Beach, California and attended Le Cordon Bleu, graduating at the top of his class. During school, Daniel worked at some of the highest regarded restaurants in Los Angeles and Hollywood, including Church & State Bistro, a classic French bistro, for Chef Tony Esnault and Mud Hen Tavern, working under Chef Kasja Aljer for LA culinary legend Susan Feniger, famously of Border Grill. Daniel has also staged for LA chefs Joshia Citrin at Mélisse, Michael Voltaggio of Ink, and David LeFevre of MB Post.

Chef Daniel is excited to blend the Americana and New American tastes of Shady Grove to Stripe Café, and can’t wait to share new flavors with you.
